Listen to Stacie Collins as she sits down and talks to Blake about her band, hanging out on stage with Steven Tyler, and even plays her harmonica for us! Stacie is a blues musician and the lead singer in a rock n roll band with her husband Al Collins. They call it STACIE COLLINS & The AL-Might 3. They’ve managed to release 4 records and one live DVD/CD of original material on their own label. They’ve been touring Europe 3 to 4 times a year for the last 7 years and have had 3 successful fan-funded records.
We asked Stacie, “What about some failures that you learned from, wanna share any of those?”
“I suck at a lot of things and have failed in many areas but I try not let that stop me.
Here are a few lessons I’ve learned from Touring in Europe that cost me a lot but we learned from it. >
- Don’t cross the Swiss Border with a van full of merch without stopping at customs.
- Don’t drive a tour van with a Dutch License plate in Germany.”
When they’re not on the road Stacie enjoys being a homebody because she travels so much. She loves to cook and has been working on a recipe using “zucchini noodles” instead of pasta and it rocks.
